The Learn to Lead Ice Class is for ice climbers ready to move beyond top rope climbing and understand what leading requires. It focuses on the technique, protection, and judgment needed to approach waterfall ice leads as safely and responsibly as we can.

You will work on ice screw placements, anchor building, route reading, lead systems, belaying, movement efficiency, and avoiding falling. Your guide will help you learn the basic skills necessary to start leading waterfall ice climbs on your own.

This course is a strong progression for climbers with ice experience who want more independence. It builds the decision-making foundation needed before leading ice routes on your own.
