Is there somewhere I can camp in Boulder or close by?

Nothing real close. Most of the closest camping will be up in Estes Park around Rocky Mountain National Park or up in campgrounds surrounding Nederland.

What other things besides climbing are good to do on a rest day?

Boulder has plentiful hiking and shops on Pearl Street. There are places near the bottom of Boulder Canyon where you can tube in the river. Check out the National Center for Atmospheric Research. Plenty of things to do in Boulder.

Why do I hear people call it the People's Republic of Boulder?

Aside from climbing Boulder also stands out a bit more from the rest of Colorado for it's crunchy granola vibes and progressive policies. This is just people poking a bit of fun at that.

If we could only climb in one spot in Boulder where would you go?

If you're an experienced climber, go to Eldorado Canyon and do one of the classic multipitch climbs.

If you're a fit beginner and have the day then go climb the First Flatiron.

If you've never climbed before or are limited on time go to Boulder Canyon.
