What ages is Cliff Hangers designed for?

Cliff Hangers is designed for younger climbers under 12 who are ready to spend time outside, follow guide instructions, and try real rock climbing in a supportive group environment.

Does my child need climbing experience?

No previous outdoor climbing experience is required. The camp is built around confidence, movement, teamwork, and having a positive first experience on real rock.

What does a typical camp day look like?

Camp days usually include meeting the guides, checking equipment, hiking to the climbing area, climbing on age-appropriate routes, taking breaks, practicing outdoor skills, and wrapping up with a group recap. Sometimes in slower moments we may show kids some of the plants, animals, and geology of the areas we're in or play short games.

How do guides keep the camp appropriate for younger kids?

Guides choose manageable terrain, keep the tone encouraging, build in breaks, and adjust the pace to the group’s energy. The goal is for kids to learn and have fun, not to feel pressured.

What should campers bring?

Campers should bring comfortable outdoor clothing, approach shoes or sneakers, water, lunch and snacks, sun protection, and any personal medication they may need. Technical climbing equipment can be provided. A detailed itinerary is sent closer to the start of camp.
