Inclusions

Sharkstooth stands out even among the dramatic skyline of Rocky Mountain National Park with a narrow alpine spire that lives up to its name with a profile sharp enough to spot from miles away. The standard NE Ridge route follows a path of solid alpine rock to a small, exposed summit. The altitude may make the 5.6 grade feel a bit spicier than normal as the highest summit in the park that can only be reached by technical climbing.

The approach itself is part of the experience, climbing through classic Rocky Mountain high country before reaching the technical terrain. Once on route, the climbing demands solid alpine rock skills and comfort with exposure, with positions near the summit that put the scale of the surrounding peaks on full display. While objectives can be done in a day this is a great area to spend a few days on multiple climbs in the area.

Our guide's have plenty of experience on the summit and can help with everything from packing your pack to alpine rock climbing technique. Sharkstooth is an objective that delivers a genuine sense of accomplishment alongside some of the best views in the park.
