Who is Steep Ski Camp for?

Steep Ski Camp is for strong skiers or splitboarders who want coaching on movement, line choice, terrain management, and decision making before committing to steeper backcountry descents.

Do I need prior backcountry experience?

Yes. You should have backcountry travel experience, avalanche awareness, and confidence skiing or riding variable snow. This is not an intro backcountry course.

What skills are covered?

Guides may coach steep skiing movement, snow assessment, line choice, group communication, descent tactics, exposure management, terrain selection, and when to back off.

Will we ski extreme terrain?

Not necessarily. Guides choose terrain based on conditions and the group. The point is to build judgment and technique for steeper lines, not to force maximum exposure.

How should I prepare?

Arrive fit, comfortable with your touring or splitboard setup, and honest about your experience. Bring avalanche rescue gear, appropriate layers, and equipment you already trust in backcountry terrain.
