Advanced Camp

For those who have done the intro camp with us or are already capable of lead climbing this camp is geared towards more advanced skills. Here we'll focus on getting more into leading multipitch climbs, self rescue skills and a little bit of aid climbing. We use a few different climbing areas. Some have camping available and others it's a little bit far. By the end everyone should feel pretty capable of having the skills to climb almost any rock they come across. Because this camp focuses on more serious and committing skills we ask that participants be confident leading 5.8 climbs outdoors on gear before participating.

-learn the basics of multipitch climbing and how to be efficient with time and equipment on longer routes.
-learn the self rescue skills necessary to help yourself or partner in the event something goes wrong on a climb.
-learn basic aid climbing skills such as basic aid climbing with etriers, hauling techniques, and ascending skills.

-improve climbing technique to climb more challenging terrain.
-learn how to read more complicated and involved terrain.
