Learn to Rock Climb with Multipitch Skills and Self Rescue Course
When it comes to bigger climbs it pays to be efficient. To become proficient not only requires practice but knowledge on how to deal with the many novel situations we find ourselves when climbing. By adding skills to your tool box people can climb multipitch routes more efficiently which means less time exposed to mountain hazards. Being a safer climber also requires one to know how to handle problems or emergencies, even more so on climbs more than a rope length off the ground. Learning how to build anchors quickly, belay in ways that enhance safety, and what to do when there are problems help climbers avoid having minor problems or injuries turn into major epics or helicopter rides. While climbing is inherently risky a class on how to increase your margin of safety is wise insurance.

Rate Information:
Rates are per person, e.g. 3 people for a Regular Day would be $259/person for a total of $777. Trip start times are custom but generally we recommend 8AM starts for most rock climbing May through September to avoid heat, crowding, and afternoon thunderstorms.

Early Bird Discounts and Last Chance Pricing: Book early and save! Schedule any rock climbing trip a month or more in advance for a 10% discount. Any trip booked with less than 48 hours notice incur a $100 convenience fee.

Because this is an advanced course climbers should come prepared with the following skills:
Participants should be confident in their ability to lead traditional rock climbs up to 5.8. Some venues may allow for less.
Participants must be confident in their ability to build rock solid anchors in a variety of terrain and situations, even when gear is limited.
Participants must be able to belay a leader and toprope climber with a variety of devices.
Participants must be comfortable using fixed anchors for rappel descents using tube style belay devices.
Participants without the required skills may be asked to book additional days to ensure the best learning experience.

I climbed the Crestone Traverse in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains with Jeremiah in August 2023, owner of the Colorado Climbing Company. Jeremiah was an outstanding guide. Besides utilizing his expertise on the climb, he cooked pizza for dinner and provided bagels for breakfast. He was a great instructor, had a sense of humor, and was patient. He is also an incredibly skilled alpinist. I used several guides this summer on technical climbs and my experience with him was unsurpassed. I highly recommend The Colorado Climbing Company for all of your climbing adventures in Colorado.

Each time, my guides Luc and Nico were very friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and always made me feel safe even with my limited climbing experience. I am pretty new to ice climbing and I felt like this trip helped me grow tremendously. She was not only a master at all things ice climbing, but was a fantastic teacher. Learning knots, in addition to the art of ice climbing, can be overwhelming but she made it such a blast. We had an 8 hour trip and she somehow managed to keep me pumped the whole time. And as a new climber, she made it such a safe place to learn and ask ALL the questions. I’ve used plenty of guiding services before but these guys are definitely my top choice.

We have a healthy amount of single pitch sport climbing experience, but hadn't done any trad climbing or multi-pitch. Our guide was very knowledgeable of the area, showed great proficiency with setting anchors and protection, and was overall a fun guy to hang out with. We would happily book another trip with them in the future, and would highly recommend them to anyone interested in climbing in Colorado.
