Just south of Boulder lies an area where South Boulder creek cut thru the sandstone of the Flatiron formation to form Eldorado Canyon. Eldorado Canyon features some of the most classic guided climbing adventures for all climbers. With the creek rushing below climbers can climb classics such as Yellow Spur and Bastille crack following in the steps of historic climbers such as Layton Kor and Derek Hersey. While we often guide rock climbs on these more popular classics there are still plenty of easier rock climbs for beginners who may just want to get their feet wet in one of the most classic areas in the country.
There are a variety of climbs from steep cracks to lower angle faces and overhangs. With such a variety of routes from single pitch to multipitch rock climbs and approaches that range from a few minutes to around half an hour the climbs here are some of the most accessible climbing in the Front Range. It's because of the classic nature of the climbing here that this is the favorite area for many of our guides to teach and guide climbing trips.

"Sarah and I had an awesome time. We were both impressed by and appreciated the fact that you actually taught us some of the finer points of climbing, rather than just setting a rope and saying "there you go." -Mike, Wisconsin
