"Sarah and I had an awesome time. We were both impressed by and appreciated the fact that you actually taught us some of the finer points of climbing, rather than just setting a rope and saying "there you go." -Mike, Wisconsin

Vertical Ice Technique Class
Steep pillars and sweeping ice faces can be intimidating and require fitness but learning the techniques in a guided ice climbing class makes it much easier. By hiring a guide you can learn the basic body positions and techniques to be able to ascend steep ice efficiently and safely. Avoid the pumped and panicked feeling that beginners often feel when they start climbing steep ice by getting feedback from experienced ice climbers who can give you tips to avoid common pitfalls and help you climb the steep ice. These courses are offered in locations based on conditions. We guide ice in Cheyenne Canyon, Clear Creek Canyon, and Lake City. Please call and ask about conditions.
  • Previous climbing experience is helpful but not necessary.
